All active clinical studiesThe Metabolism and Vascular and Renal Health area brings together researchers from all levels of Université Laval’s teaching programs and from the healthcare teams in each CHUQ hospital. This broad research field is divided into a number of subsectors covering the vascular system; nephrology; dialysis and kidney transplants; and metabolic disorders: diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and lipid disorders. Researchers in this group take a particular interest in prevention, evaluation, and treatment of vascular diseases, diabetes, and lipid disorders, as well as the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the vascular system, oxidizing stress, endothelial dysfunction, the genetics of complex traits, blood vessel bioengineering, inflammation, and tissue regeneration.
